What this tool does
- We decode ONLY what is needed: the work starts from the keyframe preceding the moment asked for, not from the beginning of the film.
- Each frame comes out as PNG, lossless, at the chosen width — never enlarged beyond its original size.
- Past one frame, everything goes into a ZIP archive: forty downloads in a row, no browser lets them through.
- The moment actually reached is written on each frame: a variable-frame-rate video does not always land exactly where you asked.
What it does not do: This tool needs a recent browser (WebCodecs): Firefox for Android does not have it, and some codecs (H.265, AV1) are only decoded on some machines. The screen says so on drop. MP4, M4V and MOV files are read; MKV, AVI and WebM are not.
