What this tool does
- Page by page selection, on the thumbnails: no “4, 7, 12-15” to type from memory.
- The original metadata does not follow, unless you ask for it.
- The extract is a rebuilt document, not a truncated copy.
What it does not do: Extracting produces ONE document, in the order the pages are shown. To get several files in one go, “Split a PDF” is the tool for that.

The other tools
- Merge PDFs : Several files, one document, in the order you decide.
- Organize pages : Reorder, rotate, delete, duplicate: the whole plan.
- Delete pages : Remove pages while looking at them, and they do not survive under the file you get.
- Rotate pages : An upside-down scan set straight: one page, or the whole document.
