What this tool does
- The first half of the document is taken as the fronts, the second as the backs.
- The backs are taken in reverse by default, because flipping a stack as a block puts the last sheet on top. A box changes that.
- An odd number of pages is normal: the last sheet has no scanned back, and its front keeps its place.
- The thumbnails show the result before you save, and that is where a wrong direction shows.
What it does not do: The tool assumes the file holds all the fronts first, then all the backs, and nothing else. One extra page in the middle shifts everything after it. Two separate files are handled by “Interleave the pages of two documents”.
Nothing is uploaded. Cut your network connection once this page has loaded: the tool keeps working. How to check it yourself.
The other tools
- Merge PDFs: Several files, one document, in the order you decide.
- Organize pages: Reorder, rotate, delete, duplicate: the whole plan.
- Extract pages: Pick pages, take them out into a document of their own.
- Delete pages: Remove pages while looking at them; they are not left under the file you get.
