Klarfile

Extract a table from a PDF to Excel, without uploading it

Drop the document in: the rows and columns appear, page by page, exactly as they will go into the file. You look, then you save.

What this tool does

What it does not do: The column split is a GUESS, and that is why it is shown to you. It works well on a printed table — a statement, an invoice, an inventory — and badly on free layout, a brochure, newspaper columns. It does not see merged cells, does not rejoin a row broken in two, and understands nothing of the table's rules: it reads text positions and nothing else. On a SCANNED document there is no text to position, so nothing to split — the screen says so rather than handing you an empty file.

Nothing is uploaded. Cut your network connection once this page has loaded: the tool keeps working. How to check it yourself.
