Extract the files a PDF is carrying

What this tool does

• Both ways of attaching a file are read: attached to the document, or pinned onto a page, and the screen says which.
• The name, the size and the description of every file BEFORE anything is extracted.
• This is where electronic invoices keep their XML: Factur-X, ZUGFeRD, and everything close to them.
• Names are cleaned before anything is written: a file name written into a PDF by a stranger can contain a path.
• Nothing is opened, executed or rendered here: the files come out as they are, and past one, in a ZIP archive.

What it does not do: A file carried by a PDF comes from whoever made it: treat it like an email attachment. It is, incidentally, a well-known way of getting past a mail server's antivirus. Nothing is analysed here, and nothing is executed. An attachment compressed in a way we do not undo is REPORTED with zero bytes rather than passed over in silence. And remember this: our exports only copy pages, so an attachment survives none of them, and has to be taken out first.
