Compress an image without uploading it

What this tool does

• Three levels of compression, from email to print, and you see the size before and after, image by image.
• Several images at once: past one, everything leaves in a ZIP archive.
• EXIF metadata does not survive: not the camera, not the date, not the GPS coordinates of where the photo was taken.
• If the file GROWS, which happens on an already well-compressed JPEG, the screen says so instead of announcing a compression.
• The original format is kept by default: compressing is not converting.

What it does not do: Lossy compression is FINAL: what is taken out does not come back, and running the same photo through twice degrades it twice. Keep the original. Re-encoding an already compressed image does not always make it lighter: the screen will tell you, rather than handing you a bigger file while claiming the opposite. And there is no AI upscaling here: a model of several dozen megabytes would have to be downloaded from a third-party server, which undoes this site's whole argument.
