Add page numbers to a PDF

A bundle handed to a court or to a client is paginated from end to end. The numbers are written onto the document you get, not onto your files.

This tool does its work in your browser, so it needs JavaScript. That is the price of never sending your files anywhere: the computing happens on your machine.

What this tool does

“3”, “— 3 —”, “3/12”, “Page 3 of 12”: you choose the shape.
The first numbered page and the number it carries are two separate settings: a cover does not count.
Alternating sides for bound double-sided printing: otherwise half the numbers fall into the fold.

What it does not do: Numbers are written with the PDF standard fonts: French and English go through entirely, non-Latin alphabets do not.
